Assigning Orphan Tests

Overview

An orphan test is a test submission that did not attach to a sample. That usually happens when the stream or short code on the test does not match an active sample. Reassignment is done in the web app.

Directions

  1. Go to Dashboards > Orphan Tests.

  1. Open Form Submission Link for the test you want to reassign.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Under Stream on which measurement is taken, search for and select the correct stream.
  4. Confirm the short code is correct.
  5. Click Save Edits.

  1. When asked whether to retrigger workflows, choose Update submission and trigger new workflow(s). That associates the test with its sample.

If you save without retriggering workflows, the stream and short code on the submission will update, but the test may still not attach to the sample.
