Reporting Scenarios

Introduction

Estimation Methods and Records are associated with a Reporting Scenario to add additional information about how the data should be used. Reporting Scenarios can be customized for each company based on their use case. For many customers, they have a couple of reporting scenarios that are used for emissions data (e.g Subpart W, AQM, Scope 2, Corporate Sustainability Report) and reporting groups for volumetric, gas analysis or equipment operating parameters. When estimation methods and records are associated with reporting scenarios, you can leverage custom reports or insight dashboards to aggregate data under the reporting scenario. E.g give me all GHG emissions under my Corporate Sustainability Report.

Switching Reporting Scenarios

The reporting group selection shows up in a lot of different spots within the Validere platform. It is anywhere  estimation method results or record values are displayed. For example:

Change the primary reporting scenario

The Reporting Scenario is defaulted to the Primary Reporting Scenario when you first load the page. This primary reporting scenario can be managed as a user. To switch the primary reporting scenario:

  1. Navigate to Scenarios.
  2. Hover over the last column of the reporting scenario you wish to make the primary reporting scenario. Click the Edit icon (). Update the primary reporting flag, and click “Save”.

Create new reporting scenarios

  1. Navigate to Scenarios.
  2. Click on Create Scenario.
  3. Give the Reporting Scenario a name, and description.

Now that a new reporting scenario has been created, you can create records and update estimation methods to be associated with the newly created scenario.

Deleting a Reporting Scenario

  1. Navigate to Scenarios
  2. Hover over the last column of the reporting scenario you wish to delete. Click the Delete icon.
  3. Confirm you want to delete the reporting scenario by clicking “Delete”.

When a reporting scenario is deleted, the associated records are also deleted. The estimation methods are not deleted but the results are no longer associated with the reporting scenario.
